Grilled Prawns with Hearty Harissa and Fresh Lime
Spice up your life and marinate your uncooked green prawns with this North African flavour-bomb. At the heart of our harissa is a wholesome blend of caramelised red capsicum and hot-to-trot chilli paste. This recipe is a huge hit with all our family and friends!
8 large green prawns
2 tbsp Hearty Harissa
sea salt flakes to taste
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
the juice of 1 whole lime
Peel prawns, retaining the head and tail. Cut down the back of the prawns just enough until you see the vein and carefully remove. Cut lime in half and set aside.
In a bowl, mix 2 tbsp of Hearty Harissa and oil. Add prawns and marinate.
Pre-heat the BBQ, grill or fry pan to medium heat.
Cook prawns for 1 min, then turn prawns and cook for another minute until opaque.
Serve prawns on your favourite serving platter with cut lime on the side. Finish with a squeeze of lime juice over the prawns when serving to friends.
